GET qbreader.org/api/random-bonus

Get random bonuses from the database.

• difficulties: number[] | number | string default: undefined
  The difficulties to search for.

  • If undefined then all difficulties are allowed.
  • Can also be a string or number if there is only 1 difficulty.
• categories: string[] | string default: undefined
  The categories to search for.

  • If undefined then all categories are allowed.
  • Can also be a string if there is only 1 category.
  • Take special care to ensure that the first letter of each word of the category is capitalized.
• subcategories: string[] | string default: undefined
  The subcategories to search for.

  • If undefined then all subcategories are allowed.
  • Can also be a string if there is only 1 subcategory.
  • Take special care to ensure that the first letter of each word of the subcategory is capitalized.
  • This API endpoint does not check for consistency between categories and subcategories.
  • For example, requesting the "History" and the "Biology" and "Chemistry" subcategories will return no questions.
• number: number default: 1
  How many questions to return.
• minYear: number default: 2010
  The oldest year to search for.
• maxYear: number default: 2024
  The most recent year to search for.
• threePartBonuses: boolean default: false
  Whether to only return bonuses with 3 parts.
• standardOnly: boolean default: "false"
  Whether or not to only return questions from standard quizbowl formats. Broadly, non-standard formats include anything that's not designed for use at an academic quizbowl tournament. Think trash packets, single-packet sets, and side events. Single-subject full-length tournaments (think DECAF and Lederberg) still count as "standard-format".
